There have been many headline worthy transactions during the NFL mid-season trade, lets take a closer look.
NFL trading began October 14 with the Seattle Seahawks looking to bolster their defensive line. The seahawks traded a sixth round pick in the 2026 draft for Jaguars DT Roy Roberson-Harris. This was followed shortly by confirmation that former Las Vegas Raiders Davante Adams was heading to the New York Jets. Adams will reunite with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers after they played together on the Green bay Packers. The Jets are hopeful that this connection with Rodgers will continue to add to the teams rebuild. In exchange for the coveted wide receiver, the raiders will receive a third round draft pick in next years draft.
But the Jets aren’t only team looking for more firepower for their offence. The Buffalo Bills acquired Cleveland Browns WR Amari Cooper and a 2026 sixth round pick in exchange for a 2026 third and seventh round pick. The Bills are hoping that after years of falling short, that they can make a run for the Super Bowl. Another trade that came through recently was the return of RB Cam Akers to the Minnesota Viking. Akers was traded from the Los Angles Rams to the Vikings during the 2023 season before signing with Houston Texans in 2024. He returns to a Vikings team in serious need of running back depth. The Vikings exchanged 2026 sixth round pick for a 2026 seventh round pick from the Texans.
Most recently we have seen several line backers changing teams. The Tennessee Titans traded Ernest Jones IV to the Seahawks for Jerome Baker along with a 2026 fourth round pick. The Kansas City Chiefs also picked up a new line backer Joshua Uche from the New England Patriots for a 2026 sixth rounder. The Chiefs have been busy bolstering other fronts as well, they picked up five time Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans for a 2025 fifth round pick. Another addition to an already dominate Chiefs team in search of a third straight Super Bowl.
Overall there are a countless number of trade during the NFL mid-season trade. How these trades will pan out, is all up to what happens on the field.
