State swim was a two day event on November 10th and 11th, 2023. This year the Waterloo United girls swim team sent off seven girls to compete at the state swimming and diving meet. The swim team consists of multiple different schools of neighboring towns to Waterloo. This year, the team sent their 200 Medley Relay team that consisted of sophomore Irma Mujic (backstroke), Union freshman Lucy Parson (breaststroke), Union sophomore Adeline Tutor (butterfly), and senior Haley Stainbrook (freestyle). The relay placed 17th out of 32 with a time of 1:52.89.
As for induvial event Irma Mujic placed 16th out of 32 for the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.16. Lucy Parson placed 29th out of her 32 in her 200 induvial medley event with a time of 2:19.60 as well as placing 7th out of 34 in her 100 breastroke event with a time of 1:05.18.
As for diving, the team had their two divers make it to state, senior Kaitlyn Cronan and sophomore Frannie Dehl who both competed on the night of November 10th, 2023. Cronan placed 27th and Dehl placed 21st out of 32 divers.
