Wahawkinsider.com is the student news site of of Waterloo West High Journalism, the student-run publications at Waterloo West High School. Wahawk Insider online publication alongside the Wahawk Yearbook are run by the students of Waterloo West High School and advised by Nicole Godman. The main goals are to inform, entertain and educate its readers. The Wahawk Insider aims to provide an educational opportunity for both the students who produce content and those who read it.

Wahawk Insider launched in 2022 after the longstanding school newspaper, The Spectator, ceased publication in 2015. Students on the Wahawk Insider staff work to present news to its viewers in a fast, timely manner. Students work to interview, write, photograph, design, and film all of the content used on the website. Students on staff have also released a quarterly newsmagazine. The website and newsmagazine are free to all students.
The Wahawk yearbook is the record-keeper and historical documentation for the school. The yearbook staff works to document events as they happen and they include small and big events alike into one book which is distributed at the start of the next school year.
All staffs operate out of room 309. Each staff is also bound to and protected by the Editorial Policy, which governs the way Wahawk Insider and Wahawk Yearbook can cover and publish using its various mediums.
