House of Hope is a local organization that reaches out and helps single mothers in need. From providing moral support to getting them homes, House of Hope ensures every woman is able to live safely and comfortably with her child.

For the past few years, House of Hope has been the organizer of an event called the ‘Festival of Lights’. The light show is held at the KOA Campground across from Lost Island Waterpark, and has displays from many local businesses.

At the event, you are able to drive or walk through the displays and look at the lights. There will be free s’mores and hot cocoa available, as well as live performances and fun costumes.

The event is funded by sponsors, and the money spent to attend the light show is put towards their goal of helping mothers succeed. This previous Saturday and Sunday, hundreds of people showed up to see the lights, and of course drink hot cocoa and eat s’mores.

It is open on Friday-Sunday the first three weekends of December from 6-8 PM. On drive-thru days, admission is 20$ per car, but free on walk-thru days. Come attend and help support our local businesses!
